A book of haiku and illustrations from the mind of Martin, the talking, angst-ridden, introspective dog from the ABC TV series, Downward Dog.
Martin has a lot of time on his hands, just like almost too much unstructured free time? And while he normally would just use it to nap or stress about his relationship with his human, Nan, who is, like, never home anymore, he decided to just sort of dabble with Haiku poetry, which he ended up being, not to be at all self-promoting, but like, really, really great at, and so he got a book deal, and now here we are, about to read a book of Haiku written by a dog, and like… what have you done? He’s not even seven years old yet.
Technically, yes, he is seven.
But he doesn’t feel seven, you know?
